John Duresky

John Duresky brings 37 years of military and public service experience to his run for Congress, including service as a U.S. Air Force Major and work at Hanford. His priorities focus on the everyday pressures facing Central Washington families: rising costs, access to healthcare, good-paying jobs, water and agriculture, and protecting Social Security and Medicare. He also supports stronger protections for workers and veterans and changes aimed at increasing accountability in Congress, including banning congressional stock trading and establishing term limits.

 

John Duresky cuenta con 37 años de experiencia en el servicio militar y público, incluyendo su servicio como Mayor de la Fuerza Aérea de Estados Unidos y su trabajo en Hanford. Su campaña se enfoca en reducir los costos para las familias, proteger el Seguro Social y Medicare, ampliar el acceso a la atención médica, apoyar empleos bien remunerados y atender las necesidades de los trabajadores, agricultores y veteranos de Washington Central.

Chelsea Dimas

Chelsea Dimas is a Central Washington organizer and the daughter of immigrant farmworkers from Mexico. Her campaign focuses on lowering costs for working families, protecting workers and immigrant communities, strengthening public education and healthcare, and addressing clean water and air concerns across Central Washington.

 

Chelsea Dimas es una organizadora de Washington Central e hija de trabajadores agrícolas inmigrantes de México. Su campaña se enfoca en reducir los costos para las familias trabajadoras, proteger a los trabajadores y las comunidades inmigrantes, fortalecer la educación pública y la atención médica, y abordar los problemas de contaminación del agua y el aire en Washington Central.

Ezequiel Morfin

Ezequiel Morfin is a Toppenish electrician, father, and longtime advocate with roots in farmworker and immigrant rights organizing. His campaign focuses on lowering costs for working families, protecting fair wages and safe workplaces, defending immigrant communities, and making state government more accountable to the people it serves.

 

Ezequiel Morfin es electricista de Toppenish, padre de familia y defensor comunitario con una larga trayectoria en la lucha por los derechos de los trabajadores agrícolas y las comunidades inmigrantes. Su campaña se enfoca en reducir los costos para las familias trabajadoras, proteger salarios justos y lugares de trabajo seguros, defender a las comunidades inmigrantes y exigir que el gobierno estatal rinda cuentas a las personas que representa.

Endorsement Is a Partnership

ELLA Adelante views endorsement as the start of an ongoing partnership, it does not end after elections are finished. We believe elected leaders shall always stay accountable and follow through with their goals and visions in which they were elected for. 

Because our endorsements are rooted in shared values, we regularly evaluate our partnerships with endorsed officials. If an elected leader strays away from those values or makes decisions that are harmful to the communities we serve, ELLA Adelante will reconsider and withdraw with said individuals endorsement. Holding individuals accountable helps ensure our endorsements continue to reflect our integrity, transparency, and mission to support our communities.
